Job Type: Part Time (minimum 15 hours)

Salary: £16.95 - £20.95 per hour, Annual: £30,849 - £38,129 (pro-rata) (Dependant on combined qualifications and experience)

The Saturday Cafe Clubs SCIO have celebrated 21 years of delivering a wide range of play activities for children and young people with additional support needs. To help us to continue our journey and to further develop our amazing Clubs we are seeking a fun, vibrant, enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated qualified Childcare Lead Practitioner to join our excellent staff team at The Saturday Caf Clubs. As our Floor Manager you are essentially our most influential employee, and our continued success is heavily dependent on your creativeness, enthusiasm, passion, experience and knowledge - this is why we need to be specific and clear about who we want to recruit to this position.

We are looking for a professional with current experience and knowledge of working with children and young people with additional support needs and experience of leading and motivating a play staff team.

This is a permanent position with a 6-month probationary period.

Successful candidate must be available to work during service delivery hours - Tuesday 6pm - 9.30pm; Saturday 12.30pm - 4.30pm; Sunday 11.30am - 3.30pm and be available to attend Management Meetings Monday 10am - 2pm. Additional hours will be allocated to admin, planning and development.

Candidates should also be available to work over the Glasgow School Holiday periods at our Cafe Holiday Clubs - payment for these hours are additional to the basic salary at the agreed hourly rate.

Minimum qualifications

SCFQ Level 7 qualification e.g., HNC Childcare and Education, SVQ Level 3, and have an awareness of The National Care Standards and self-evaluation. You will be working towards or willing to work towards childcare or play-work qualification, equivalent to SVQ Level 4 - SCQF Level 9 (starting this within your probationary period).

You will require registration with SSSC and will undergo Protection of Vulnerable Groups and reference checks.

The post holder will be required to meet the criteria for registration with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme, Scottish Social Services Council at Manager level and will be reference checked.
