General Manager

Job Description: General Manager, Schools' Out! Breakfast Club and Afterschool Care. Netherlee, Glasgow G44 3RD.

We are looking for a General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our established Out of School Care group.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a management position.

You should possess excellent leadership skills and have the motivation to create a nurturing environment for children.

Key Qualifications: You should have a relevant BA qualification or be willing to work towards one.

You must be PSV vetted and registered with the SSSC.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a breakfast club and after-school care that accommodates up to 70 children.

Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting positively with staff, children, and their families.

You should work collaboratively with staff to develop a varied range of stimulating activities.

Uphold the policies and procedures of the setting, as well as all applicable local and national care standards.

Be self-motivated and committed to continuously improving the quality of service. - Be prepared to work alongside staff on the play floor as needed.

You should be able to inspire and effectively lead our staff team.

Proficiency in the English language is required for effective communication within the group setting.

You should be computer literate, with skills in Excel and Word, including budgeting capabilities.

Job Type:This is a permanent management position with working hours aligned to school operating hours during term time.

Typical hours are from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, with additional office hours for administrative work negotiable.

A contributory company pension plan is available, and a driving license is preferred, as a company pool car can be provided.

You will be required to work at two settings in the Netherlee area of Glasgow.
