Policy and research

As the national intermediary organisation in Scotland for school-age childcare, we are involved in advocacy work on behalf of the sector and provide expert opinion and offer views, on proposals, issues or policies affecting the sector.

The SOSCN School Age Childcare Workforce survey 2024 is now live

The SOSCN workforce survey 2024 is now live.

We hope that you and your colleagues are willing to participate in our survey this year as this is the only national survey which covers all aspects of what it means to be a school age childcare professional. All questions are optional, and submissions are anonymous.

This survey is for all members of staff, including Managers/Lead Practitioners, Practitioners, Support Workers, and Playworkers.
